Scott Family Shorthorns started in an unusual way when Linda's uncle gave her a cow for Christmas. We soon learned that cows are like potato chips, you can't have just one. We settled on the Shorthorn breed at the Fort Worth Stock Show and soon bought four Shorthorn heifers - then six more - and a bull - and then three cows and more heifers - - -. We now have a herd of about 40 Shorthorn cows and 10 crossbred cows featuring Shorthorn genetics. We are well and truly committed to the Shorthorn breed of cattle.
Our goal is to make every generation at our ranch better than the last one by adding select, high quality females to our herd and then breeding them to AI bulls and to our own quality herd bulls.
